A Global Effort to Improve Governance Performance

Initiated by university academics and now embraced by government agencies, corporations, their leaders, shareholders and industry associations worldwide, this non-commercial effort helps organizations to better understand how good governance is practiced globally. Through this work, firms and their boards learn about their governance accomplishments. We invite you to join this effort.

How this work 'makes a difference'

Through large national surveys worldwide, benchmarks are created for many countries to identify factors of good governance. Our Directions team will investigate whether the current system for matching directors to firms works; whether directors are effective as drivers of strategy in their Boards; and whether investors have sufficiently transparent information from and input into the governance of the firms in which they invest.

We believe the results of this work can assist firms in with the development of better governance structures and increase competitiveness in the world markets.

As a result of initial work in New Zealand, we have created a global market place, FindDirectors.com to bring director candidates and firms together.

We thank you for your interest.
