UK Relevance

The Directions effort is a collaboration between academics at premier research universities worldwide and committed corporate leaders. Together, we collect data which will allow firms to plan towards cutting-edge governance performance. All information is submitted anoymously by participating shareholders, investors, directors and managers, guaranteeing total confidentiality. Only country summaries are published, protecting each individual contributor.

Strong Leadership in the UK
The BRASS Research Centre at Cardiff Univ. is one of the largest academic research institutions in Europe, focusing on issues of CSR, corporate governance and accountability. Professor Ken Peattie leads the Directions effort there.

News
In the UK, ACCA, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has joined the group of supporters for this work. In New Zealand the Minister for Women Affairs Lianne Dalziel announced the Directions work as part of the Government's efforts to increase the participation of women in governance. In Brazil, Directions results were presented at the refereed IntEnt 2006 conference in Sao Paulo.
